FAQ

Roofing answers, no fluff.

The questions homeowners actually ask, answered without the marketing dance.

How much does a new roof cost in 2026?

Most full residential replacements run $8,500–$38,000 depending on roof size, pitch, material, and tear-off complexity. Architectural shingle is the most affordable, standing-seam metal and tile are premium tiers. We provide three quote tiers so you see your options side by side.

How long will my new roof last?

Architectural asphalt: 25–30 years. Standing-seam metal: 40–70 years. Concrete tile: 50+ years. Cedar shake: 25–35 years with maintenance. Lifespan depends heavily on installation quality, ventilation, and climate.

Should I repair or replace my roof?

Under 15 years old with localized damage — repair. Over 20 years with widespread granule loss, sagging, or repeat leaks — replace. We give you the honest call after a free inspection.

Will my insurance cover my roof?

For damage from covered perils (hail, wind, fallen trees, sudden discharge), yes. We document everything for your claim, file the supplement, and meet your adjuster on site. Wear-and-tear damage is owner-paid.

Do impact-rated shingles really lower my insurance?

Yes — typically 5–25% off the windstorm portion of your premium. Carriers want documentation of UL 2218 Class 4 rating, which we provide.

How fast can you get someone out?

Inspections within 2–3 business days. Emergency tarping — same day in most metros. Storm-damage assessments after a regional event — within 48 hours.

Are your contractors licensed and insured?

Every contractor in our network carries the appropriate state or municipal roofing license, $1M+ liability insurance, and full workers comp. We verify all of this annually.

What's your warranty?

Every project carries a written workmanship warranty (typically 5–25 years). Manufacturer warranties (25–50 years on shingle, 30+ on metal) are registered on your behalf at completion.

Can I finance my new roof?

Yes. Qualified buyers can choose 0% APR for 12–18 months or extended-term financing through GreenSky and Service Finance Company. Most quotes can be approved same-day.

Do I have to move out during the install?

No. Most asphalt-shingle installs finish in 1–2 days. It will be loud, but you can stay home. We protect landscaping and clean up nails with a magnet roller every evening.

What happens to my old roof?

We haul it in our own dumpster. The crew sweeps the perimeter with a magnet roller, leaving your driveway and lawn cleaner than we found it.

Do you handle HOA approvals?

Yes. We provide spec sheets, color samples, and warranty documents for HOA submittal. We also pull all required municipal permits.
